Pay utility bills on the SafeBoda app at the most affordable rates

The SafeBoda app now lets you pay your utility bills at the convenience of your location. With the latest update, you can easily buy Yaka, pay water bills, and even buy TV subscriptions in just a few steps — all in one app.

Pay your bill on the app, a big saving from what you incur when you pay using other platforms like mobile money and banks.

The token or payment confirmation should reflect immediately on the phone number registered to your SafeBoda app.

How to buy Yaka! on the SafeBoda app

  • Open the SafeBoda app
  • Select Pay Bills
  • Select Electricity, and choose Yaka
  • Tap New Yaka Prepaid Bill
  • Enter your Yaka meter number
  • Choose the amount to pay
  • Enter your Wallet PIN to proceed with the transaction
  • Confirm the payment details

The token will be sent to the number attached to the SafeBoda app.

How to pay water bills on the SafeBoda app

  • Open the SafeBoda app
  • Select Pay Bills
  • Select Water and tap New NWSC Bill
  • Enter your area details and meter number
  • Confirm the bill details and continue
  • Input the amount to pay
  • Enter your Wallet PIN to proceed with the transaction
  • The payment confirmation will display
  • A message will be sent to the number attached to the SafeBoda app.

How to pay TV bills on the SafeBoda app

  • Open the SafeBoda app
  • Select Pay Bills
  • Select TV and choose between GoTV, StarTimes, Azam TV, or DStv
  • Tap New Bill depending on the choice made
  • Enter your smart card number
  • Select the package to buy
  • Confirm the payment details
  • Enter your Wallet PIN to proceed with the transaction

A message will be sent to the number attached to the SafeBoda app.

To make bill payments on the SafeBoda app, you need to deposit money into your Wallet. You can add money to your Wallet at an Agent store, with a SafeBoda driver, or with Mobile Money.

The Pay Bills feature is available to every user. If you do not have it yet, you will need to update to the latest version of the SafeBoda app.

Can I pay for my neighbor or friend?

Yes, you can clear anyone’s Yaka, water, and TV bill on the SafeBoda app. The token or payment confirmation should reflect immediately on the phone number registered to your SafeBoda app.
