SafeBoda, Uganda’s super app, has signed a partnership with the Rotaract District 9213 to offer safe and affordable transport services to club members across Uganda. The partnership is in line with SafeBoda’s mission to empower communities to thrive as well as to fulfill one of its key values in ensuring customer safety.

Rotaract Uganda, under Rotary International, provides opportunities for young people to address the needs and concerns of the community. Through its global service, the organization gives room for young adults to act through community and create sustainable solutions to local and global challenges.

The partnership was sealed with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties, done at the SafeBoda Academy in Kyebando, Kampala.

Ricky Rapa Thompson, the Co-founder and Director of SafeBoda disclosed that SafeBoda always looks to partnerships that empower different communities.

Safety and trust are among the top priorities when people look and talk about SafeBoda. This partnership is the perfect opportunity to implement the social responsibilities through working hand-in-hand with the Rotaract community, starting with District 9213,” Ricky stated.

He added that SafeBoda will be offering safe and affordable transportation services to the Rotaract club members alongside continuous engagements in the events and fellowships organized by the District to address the concerns of the community.

Sarah Owembabazi, the District Rotaract Representative applauded SafeBoda for agreeing to partner with Rotaract to support community service.

This is the beginning of a long-term relationship. As Rotaracters, we are the biggest users of boda-bodas and this partnership is an encouragement to all other club members to use SafeBoda to ensure safety and give more to the community,” Sarah said.

The signed partnership will, among other things, include work on co-branded projects that support community growth on issues of road safety, sanitation, and environmental conservation.
