While Covid 19 has grown to pandemic levels, we would like to reassure you that SafeBoda, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is doing everything we can to prevent the spread of the virus and to continue to serve you during these uncertain times. We are prepared and are confident that our teams have the knowledge and resources required to ensure that we continue to serve you. Nonetheless, we strongly urge you to take precautionary measures to protect you and your loved ones.
For your piece of mind, we are taking the following precautionary measures;
On rides/Send
- SafeBoda sensitization on the prevention of COVID is ongoing
- Contact free delivery is being encouraged
- High levels of hygiene are being encouraged
On Food delivery
We are doing the following to ensure that we all stay safe and that you can still get a healthy meal delivered through our app into your kitchen.
With our partner Kitchens
- We have instituted high levels of hygiene, and encourage continuous hand washing, use of masks and hand sanitizer in the food handling process.
- Kitchen surfaces are being wiped down at least 3X everyday.
- Staff are being temperature tested daily.
SafeBoda Food delivery
- We are committed to providing a contact — free food experience, every time.
- We encourage you and your loved ones to pay for your meal using the SafeBoda wallet option.
We want to encourage you to take these simple but crucial steps to protect yourself and others around you:
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for atleast 50–60 seconds and sanitizer for atleast 40 seconds.
- Avoid touching your face, nose and mouth
- Avoid close contact with people who appear to be unwell with flu-like symptoms.
- Remember to cover your nose and mouth when coughing/sneezing. If you have no tissue, use your sleeve rather than hands.
- If you experience symptoms, stay home to avoid putting others at risk.

We will continue to work closely with the Government, the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation in disseminating critical messages and guidelines to our community of riders, customers, partners and employees.
