Tutambule Ffena: A SafeBoda, Easy Matatu, and Uganda Railway Corporation partnership
SafeBoda has partnered with Easy Matatu, a taxi-hailing company, and Uganda Railway Corporation to launch a project called “Tutambule Ffena” that aims to promote easy and affordable movement to and from the various railway stations.
The campaign is designed to encourage more people to use the train as a means of transportation, while making it easier for commuters to access the stations using a SafeBoda or an Easy Matatu.
As part of the Tutambule Ffena project, SafeBoda is working to enable payment of train tickets through the SafeBoda app. This initiative is aimed at making it easier and more convenient for commuters to purchase train tickets. With this feature, commuters can avoid long queues while buying the tickets using their Wallet balance.
In addition to enabling payment of train tickets through the app, SafeBoda is also offering affordable rides to and from the train stations to encourage more people to use the train.
According to Ricky Rapa Thomson, the SafeBoda co-founder and Director, SafeBoda’s involvement in the Tutambule Ffena project is just one of the ways the company is contributing to the growth of Uganda’s transportation sector.
“We have been actively involved in promoting road safety in the country by providing helmets for all our passengers and training drivers to be safer on the road. Tutambule Ffena is just a continuation of our mission to empower communities to thrive through technology,” he adds.
SafeBoda’s partnership with Easy Matatu and Uganda Railway Corporation through the Tutambule Ffena project is an excellent example of how companies can work together to provide a valuable service to their customers.
This initiative will not only contribute to the growth of Uganda’s economy but will also help to promote sustainable transportation in the country.
